In March 2008, we opened a traditional butchery located within the Farm Shop at Tebay Services southbound which includes meat maturing and cutting rooms supplying the butcher's counter where our skilled staff are on hand to prepare meat and offer advice. This was a natural progression for Westmorland, a company with its roots firmly in farming and with a passion for Cumbria, a county renowned for its livestock.

Raspberries
It's been another frustrating year at Rolley's of Glassonby. Robin's raspberries are large and juicy with a beautiful depth of colour. You're welcome to go and pick your own (their fields are near Long Meg) but for us it's been very hit and miss. Robin needs dry conditions to pick for us and every otherday it rains! Weather permitting he should be able to supply us for this weekend, but it's as likely as England beating South Africa.

New Patisserie
You may have seen an empty counter in our Southbound Farm Shop. Well, on the 19th July we filled it up with the best, locally made patisserie. We are sure that journeys will be broken if only to get more supplies of Patrick More's famous 'muddies'. Now into our third week the cakes are proving to be a real hit and this week Patrick was featured on Border T.V.'s "Loookaround" programme.
